My normal August 25th

...August 25th... I have been looking forward to this day for so long - a normal day, a normal August 25th. Today would be the first day in over 2 MONTHS that Tyler and I would be able to carpool to work together, meet up for lunch, make dinner together, have a normal evening together, eat dinner together, have a regular fhe, etc etc..

Oh, and what's been happening since June that's made it impossible to live this regular lifestyle? Well....

* 16 days of Tyler getting home around 9:30 or 10 from the Parade of Homes in Bountiful

* 5 days of Rachel on an audit in Michigan

* 4 days of going to hang out with our newly returned missionary brother - Troy!!
* 5 days of a great vacation with my family in Huntington Beach

* 16 days of Tyler getting home around 9:30 from the Parade of Homes in SLC

* 5 days of Rachel on an audit (and going to Wendy Hansen's wedding) in Minnesota

It's been an awesome summer!!! It's just been really busy and kept us away from home more than it ever had before. I got home from the wedding on Friday, we helped Tyler's family move all day on Saturday - and at this point I'm looking forward to some calm, relaxed regular life stuff!

So I'll tell you, August 25th was great!! We carpooled to work, went to lunch at Olive Garden together, went to Costco and got stocked up on groceries, came home and made dinner together and had a night together with no interruptions, meetings, or appointments!

Then August 26th came around... Tyler recently decided to take the LSAT so now he's in a prep class three days a week for three hours. He's taking the test in 5 weeks.
This also means, we might be going to law school in the upcoming years, so we're looking into schools, trying to figure out where to move, and how to get through 3 more years of school.

Then August 27th came around and we find out that we have to be out of this house in a month!

What did I learn from all this? Well, there went my normal August 25th!! Life is full of surprises, but in order for me to be happy, I've just got to enjoy the time we have together - and REALLY enjoy the August 25ths that come around!

But hey, I'm married to Tyler Jennings, and I should know that life will never be normal again - but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Life is amazing, we have no idea where we'll be in five years, let alone five months, actually after getting kicked out of our house, we don't even know where we'll be in five weeks! But, Tyler and I are doing all of this together - we're living together, we're employed, we're healthy, we want to start a family soon and couldn't be happier! Life is a lot of fun,
and it will probably be another 2 months before I have another August 25th...

Parade of Homes

Tyler will be spending the majority of his time over the next two weeks at the Salt Lake Parade of Homes. They fully automated home #16 and Tyler will be showing off their system in their amazing basement equipped with theatre room, basketball court, weight room and billiards room! The house is in Riverton if you want to stop by! Tyler has done such a great job expanding this company over the past year.

JENNINGS REUNITED

after 3 missionaries have come and gone, 2 in Chile, 1 in Costa Rica, 1 move back to Orem, 1 new addition to the family (me!) and one announced pregnancy the JENNINGS family is reunited after over 3 years!!!

Here are some pics of Troy's arrival home from Costa Rica last week... as you can tell it's already a party with the kids all together!!

Puttin out the vibe .... with "ghetto" Elder Troy in the back

American Idols!!

On July 15th we went to the American Idols Concert @ the E Center in SLC. It was quite the crazy scene up there!! Tyler was one of the few 20-something guys in the crowd. We were surrounded by three groups of people 1. screaming David Archulta or "Archie" fans, 2. their parents, and 3. the occastional boyfriend / husband that got dragged to the concert. Well in our case Tyler actually was excited to go, we were pretty into the show this year!! But then when we saw the crowds... he kinda got a little embarrassed, but its ok, he played if off that he was one of the 3rd "supportvie husband" type.

Either way .. the show was good! Our favs were Michael Johns, Syesha, and the Davids!!

Rach's Detroit Trip

Rachel just took a trip to Detroit. She works for this accounting firm ...
Some of their clients are in Utah, but some are around the country and require travel. This week Rachel went to Detroit to perform an audit on a beef jerky company haha. She went on a tour of the factory and got a little more than she bargained for ... and I guess it smelled really bad!

But they do make good beef jerky, if you're into that type of thing..

Big Room all to herself

Not much to see in Detroit, this was the only picture she took - 8 Mile ... Eminem Movie I guess.

First half of July

July has been a blast so far, and it's only going to get better!! The night before the 4th of July my family spent the night up at my aunt and uncle's cabin in Heber. Tyler had been planning on being at the Parade House all day on the Fourth, but he decided to take the day off when we put together these exciting plans! It was fun being up there with the family. That night I went to the Oakley Rodeo with Steven and Uncle Todd, Katharine, Annie, & Nell. It was Steven's first Rodeo so it was alot of fun being there with him!

On the Fourth of July itself ... we started out the morning with some yummy breakfast, games, ATV rides and then went to the Lake. It wasn't the greatest day for skiing / boarding, but we got some good tubing in! Let me just say the water was just colder than anticipated and little Arizona girl needed a wet suit haha.

Then, that night we went to the one and only country club buffet dinner and fireworks! My dad was there somewhere... he just avoids the camera!

Now We've got Troy coming home from his mission in less than two weeks, and a family trip to Huntington Beach in less than three weeks! Yay for summer!!

One Down ... Three to Go!!

Utah Valley Parade of Homes -- DONE!
Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes -- (June 27 - July 12)
Salt Lake Valley Parade of Homes -- (August 1 - 16)
Park City Parade of Homes -- (August 23 - September 7)

The Utah Valley Parade has come and gone! Tyler hung out in this media room in Lindon for about two weeks! There were tons of great contacts who walked through and were interested in Imperium. Tyler and the guys have already started preparing bids and meeting with several people they met.

On June 20, I went home to Mesa to see my best bud Carly Higginson get home off her mission! She's doing so great and I'm excited for her to move back up to Utah in a couple months. (I need to get the other pictures of just the two of us from her...) Here is a pic of Brook, Hillary, Carly and me. We were pretty dang colorful!

Now Tyler is spending his time at the Northern Wasatch Pardade of Homes. They've got 5 homes and he's rotating between Mountain Green (near Ogden) and Bountiful. He took some pictures of the houses last week when they were getting finishing touches...
We're busy but doing great! Now we're excited for the 4th of July and Rachel's family visiting Utah this week..
